Northwest Colorado Trails
The riding area that Savage Sledderz has permits to 105 miles of marked and groomed trails. The riding areas we take our guided tours on usually have 4 to 10 feet of snow during the winter.
The trails range in difficulty from beginner to experienced rider. The area has a wide variety of terrain and scenery, including steep mountains, stands of Spruce, Fir and Aspen trees, and scenic overlook points of the Yampa Valley.
The snowmobile trails can go below 8,000 feet where they pass through many large open parks and meadows, and over gently rolling hills. They can get as high as 10,000 feet.
Most wildlife is located below the 8,000 foot elevation during the winter months. Elk, deer and antelope can often be seen along the highway and roads to the trailheads.
